High Power Portable EDM Machine SFX-4000B Comparing with Conventional Type EDM-8C

1) For SFX-4000B, there is a space for storage at the bottom of power box which is convenient for managing attachments. There is a tool bag accompanied with EDM-8C, which could manage all the attachments.

2) For SFX-4000B, there is a voltmeter and a current regulating knob added on the panel of power box which increases its intuition and practicability.

3) The panel of SFX-4000B has been upgraded to touch-sensor panel with better durability and appearance. It reduces operational complexity, simplifies operation flow and improves efficiency.

4) There are original imported motor in the work head of both SFX-4000B and EDM-8C. The new vibrate function of its work head increased the processing range and improved its efficiency in a significant way. The vibrate function of EDM-8C could not be closed. SFX-4000B has a vibration button on the touch-sensor panel which could open and close this function.

5) The power of SFX-4000B is 3000W, both the cross-sectional area and speed of processing are 3-5 times of the 800W type. The high efficiency of this machine is more obvious for the larger cross-sectional area processing.

6)The current of SFX-4000B could be regulated continuously when the stepper is opening, which could accommodate the electrodes of different diameters and variety of processing environment.

These are two taps of 16mm basic major diameter and 1.5 mm per thread (M16*1.5). Grip them under the work head of EDM-8C and SFX-4000B respectively. Then, we will clamp two hexagonal electrode bar of same size on the two work heads respectively. Open the two machine at the same time to process with 8mm hexagonal electrode bars. After 5 minutes, you can see that the processing depth of the two taps are much different. The working efficiency of SFX-4000B is 2 to 3 times of EDM-8C. Next, under the same condition, there are two big screws of 20mm basic major diameter and 2.5 mm per thread (M20*2.5). Gripped them under the work head of EDM-8C and SFX-4000B respectively. Open the two machine at the same time to process with 8mm hexagonal electrode bars. After 30 minutes, both of the screws could be taken out by Allen wrench. Through measurement you can see that the depth of the hole processed by SFX-4000B is much deeper than the one EDM-8C does. The following is the parameter comparison chart.
